About ARKVAL
A doctor saw the problem. He designed the solution. This is that story
The Problem we Saw
Every day, something dangerous was happening quietly.
In homes across India, elderly patients managing five, seven, sometimes nine different medicines every day were struggling in ways their families didn’t fully see.
The medicine strips looked almost identical. The print was small. When a person is tired, unwell, or simply dealing with the anxiety of a chronic condition, one similar-looking strip looks very much like another.
Wrong tablets were being taken, not once, but for weeks and months at a time. The consequences were silent. The family only found out later. Sometimes much later.
This wasn’t carelessness. It was a design failure in the way medicines were being stored and accessed at home.
The Doctor's Decision
A doctor who came across this problem decided to fix it.
A doctor who came across this problem decided to fix it.
Dr. G. Gautam saw this situation playing out repeatedly. Patients doing their best, families doing their best and yet the system of managing medicines at home was failing them.
The available solutions, like traditional plastic pill boxes, were making things worse. They required the patient to remove every tablet from its original strip and sort them by hand into tiny compartments. Every week. The medicine name disappeared. The expiry date disappeared. The protection of the original packaging disappeared.
And if you got one pocket wrong, the entire week’s routine was wrong.
He believed there had to be a better way. Not high-tech. Not expensive. Just thoughtful.
So he designed one.
What ARKVAL Is
ARKVAL - built around one simple principle.

Made in India. Bilingual labels in English and Telugu. Designed for real homes, real routines.
Medicines should never leave their original packaging. ARKVAL is a leather medicine organizer with transparent, labelled pockets — structured by time of day (Morning, Afternoon, Night, and Miscellaneous). The entire strip or blister pack goes in as-is. Nothing is removed. Nothing is sorted by hand. The medicine name, dosage, expiry date, and composition remain visible through the pocket at all times. The patient can see exactly what they're picking up before they pick it up. At home, it hangs on a standard shirt hanger at eye level, always in sight, never buried in a drawer. When travelling, it folds flat and fits inside any bag. Six models cover every kind of need from patients managing a large daily regimen to students managing a simple health routine away from home.
The Real Story (Case Study)
The Case That Proved It
Shri S. Lakshmana Rao. 70 years old. Nine medicines a day.
Shri Lakshmana Rao has managed a chronic heart condition for five years. His daily regimen: nine different medications, each taken at different times - morning, noon, night, and bedtime. Blood thinners. Statins. Diabetes management. Cardiac medication.
Managing them every month was, in his own words, a "humongous task." The strips looked similar. The confusion was frequent. For months at a time, the wrong medicine was being taken.
The danger was real. The anxiety that his and his family's was constant.
When he began using ARKVAL, the change was immediate. Each strip went into a labelled transparent pocket. He could see exactly what he was picking up. The wall-hang feature meant the organizer was always at eye level, always visible, always a gentle reminder.
No more sorting. No more confusion. No more fear.
ARKVAL gave him more than organisation. It gave him dignity.
